The mobile BAVARIA flat roof fall protection guard with inclinable cantilevers works without penetrating the roof or drilling. The flat roof protection system is easy to set up and dismantle and adapts to the roof edge as required. It was developed with roofers for short-term work during the construction phase or for maintenance. The self-supporting aluminium side protection impresses with its low weight and maximum stability.
The 5 metre long aluminium guardrail elements are hooked into the posts using a wedge system. This allows you to secure even longer working areas in the shortest possible time.
The adjustable connector allows the flat roof guardrail to be angled as required to suit the shape of the roof.
The cantilevers can be lifted one after the other, allowing work on the parapet such as laying roofing membranes, even in the cantilever area. Self-locking wedges in the railing posts allow quick assembly without special tools.
Our parapet slip guard secures the guardrail when wind rises and at the end of work.
The parapet must be at least 150 mm above the working surface.
The flat roof guardrail is a temporary side protection system in accordance with EN 13374 Protection Class A and therefore complies with the standards and regulations for collective guardrails. The fall protection guard may be used at roof angles between 0 and 10 degrees without limits to the fall height.
In general, safety measures are necessary, if the workplaces and traffic routes are less than two metres away from the edge.

Foldable Cantilevers for Maximum Freedom on the Roof
The foldable cantilevers of the BAVARIA Classic fall protection guard allow temporary work in the area of the cantilevers, enabling full access to the roof without compromising safety. This is ideal for tasks such as laying bitumen or synthetic membranes, installing green roofs, or performing cleaning and maintenance work. When folded, the arms also make transporting the posts compact and easy.
To fold a cantilever, first install the safety sets, then remove the ballast weight from the arm, and finally release the locking pin using the red button. No tools are required for this process.
Safety Set for Folded Cantilevers
If a post cantilever needs to be temporarily folded for work, additional posts provide extra safety. One additional guardrail post is installed on each side, allowing a 5-metre-wide roof section to be cleared and worked on safely. Especially in the corner area, guardrail systems can sometimes interfere with work on the roof. BAVARIA Classic offers several installation options to secure or free up corner areas in compliance with safety standards, tailored to your specific roof requirements.
Corner Installation – Standard Setup
In the standard setup, two regular guardrail posts are placed directly in the corner, with the crossed-over cantilevers. This allows the roof area to be used almost up to the edge, for example when installing PV systems.

Corner Installation – Clearing the Work Area to the Parapet
If the goal is to work directly in the corner up to the parapet edge, the BAVARIA Classic safety set “Clear Corner Area” is the optimal solution. It includes two special parapet posts without cantilevers or ballast weights that are mounted directly on the parapet.
BAVARIA Classic – How Is the System Transported and Stored?
Thanks to the foldable cantilevers and lightweight aluminium components, transporting and storing the BAVARIA Classic system is much easier than with heavier systems. All parts can be stacked compactly and transported safely.
Transport Container for BAVARIA Classic
A specially designed transport box is also available for storing and moving the system. The robust container, made from phenolic resin-coated wood panels, is weather-resistant and durable, and can hold up to 50 metres of BAVARIA Classic.
With integrated lifting hooks, the container can be easily hoisted onto the roof by crane, allowing complete fall protection systems to be delivered quickly and safely to the site. Additionally, the system can be transported using a forklift or pallet truck – ideal for flexible workflows and changing job sites.
